Howard Green

Professional football player Howard Green is a nose tackle for the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League.  Green was originally selected 190th overall in the sixth round of the 2002 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans.  He made his debut that year with the Baltimore Ravens and went on to play with several other NFL teams in the years since.  Green joined the Packers in 2010 when he was claimed off of waivers from the New York Jets.http://www.packers.com/team/roster/Howard-Green/4c319c04-faa2-4128-8d3f-bae2e68d3214

After college, Green was drafted by the Houston Texans, but never played for that team and instead joined the Baltimore Ravens with which he made his professional football debut.  Between 2003 and 2004, Green played in 18 games with the New Orleans Saints and recorded 27 tackles and one pass deflection.  He left the NFL for two years, then returned in 2007 as a member of the Seattle Seahawks.http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GreeHo20.htm

Green spent the 2007 and 2008 seasons with Seattle, appearing in 18 games and recording a total of 28 tackles and a sack.  In 2009, Green went to the New York Jets, for which he played the 2009 season and the first two games of the 2010 campaign, with a brief off-season stop with the Washington Redskins.  With New York, Green tallied 24 tackles, including 17 which were solo.  He was waived by the Jets in October 2010 and picked up by the Green Bay Packers where he finished the 2010 season.http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GreeHo20.htm
