There's nothing more frustrating that trying to watch live sports and not having a Television or Cable TV connection. Option 1: Check the Broadcaster Site
The best place to find a quality live stream is from the broadcaster's own site. Premier events, like the Vancouver 2010 Olympics are often streamed livewww.ctvolympics.ca/. So if you know who's broadcasting your event, head on over to their home page, and see if you can get it online.
The broadcaster may want you to download a third party software such as Microsoft Silverlight, be prepared to perform upgrades to your computer in order to watch the broadcasters feed.
Option 2: Specialized Site
Peer-to-Peer networking is mana from heaven for live sports. Just because you can't be home to watch the game, doesn't mean that someone else isn't. Right from their index page, you'll get a list of sporting events taking place that day. If the game is listed, and has started, click on the link to open a new window with your game broadcast live.
