How to Use The Eraser Tool in Adobe Illustrator

An eraser is a valuable hand tool that can correct mistakes or remove words or images from paper that are no longer needed. The same concept can be applied in the digital world. Step 1: Activate Eraser, Scissors and Knife Palate

Click on the eraser icon in the right-hand column of your tools palate. A pop-up widow will appear that displays the eraser tool, scissors tool and knife tool. Step 2: Use Eraser Tool

Click on the Eraser icon to activate. Depress your mouse button and hold. Move your mouse over the area of a design or object that you want to erase. Step 3: Use the Scissors Tool

Select the knife tool. Click and hold at the beginning of where you want to cut on your image. Drag your mouse to create a sharp line.
