In this video, Mahalo technology expert Sean Hewitt explains different ways to sort through and use your contacts on the Android platform 2.3.
Using Contacts
When you tap the Contacts icon on your phone, the contacts window displays four tabs for locating phone numbers:
1. Dialer: This tab is where you can dial a contact's phone number to call them. When you begin entering a saved number, the Dialer will automatically complete the number.
2. Recent: This list contains the contacts you have recently called.
3. Contacts: This tab displays all of the contacts in your phone. You can adjust how they're displayed by tapping More --> Settings. This window provides an option to enable or disable the Display suggestions, which will suggest contacts for certain groups and favorites in your phone.
4. Favorites: This list contains the contacts that you have added to the Favorites group.
You can customize which contacts are displayed in your phone by going to Menu --> Display Options. Select Only contacts with phone and then Save. This setting will narrow down the contacts to display only the ones that have a phone number attached to them. References
