Introduction
- Using a BlackBerry is like carrying your entire work and social life in one hand. A great measure of convenience derives from the Address Book. It allows you to keep names, phone numbers, email and snail-mail addresses, along with photos, business or social affiliations, even birthdays. Even if you don't want to add a lot of information, phoning a number you often use is as simple as selecting it in the Address Book. Rather than flipping through a paper address book, or worse, calling directory assistance, you've got the number in the palm of your hand. It saves you time, and that is priceless.

Step 1: Adding Contacts to Address Book
- From the Main Menu, choose the Address Book icon.
- Click the button to the left of the trackwheel. A popup menu will appear.
- Choose New Address. The New Address screen will appear. It includes fields for name, company, phone, email, and all other contact information.
- Type in only as much contact information as you would like.

Step 2: Using Contacts from Address Book

- Once you have entered contacts in your Address Book, accessing them is just as simple.
- From the Main Menu, choose the Address Book icon.
- Scroll to the desired contact name and select it.
- All the contact info you have entered for that contact will appear.
- Depress the trackball. A popup screen will appear.
- To phone the number select the Call option.
- To text the number, select the SMS Text option.
