How to Train Your Dragon is an Action-Adventure video game developed by Activision and published by the same company. The game was released on Mar 23, 2010 for Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, being rated E10+ for Everyone 10+. The video game is based on the animated fantasy movie with the same name, released on March 26, 2010, and the story follows the adventures of a young viking named "Hiccup" who is trying to become a dragon slayer. How to Train Your Dragon Story
Hiccup, the main character of this game, lives in a small viking village, called Berk. He is the son of Stoick and just like all the inhabitants from his village; he wants to become a dragon slayer. Unfortunately he is not so strong because he is just a kid; however this won’t stop him to shoot down a Night Fury during a raid. The Night Fury is an extremely rare dragon and nobody believes that Hiccup managed to shoot one; therefore he must find it and prove that he can be a dragon slayer. The interesting part is that when he finds it he realizes that he can’t kill it and decides to set it free.
How to Train Your Dragon Gameplay
As a true dragon trainer the player has the chance to create his own dragon breed. There are 6 types of dragons and all of them can be mixed to spawn a unique specimen. After the player takes control of his dragon he can train it and level it up. When a new level is reached the player can increase some of the dragon stats: fire, speed, armor, etc…The game features 2 modes Adventure and Multiplayer. In the adventure mode, Hiccup can explore the Island of Berk while in the multiplayer mode he can find friends to create a team or just fight against each other in a head-to-head mode. Another way to level up the dragon is to complete some of the mini-games available: Ice Sculpting, Looping Race, Flying Sheppard, Memory Torch, and Puzzle Dragon. By completing these mini-games the player will earn experience points and gold which can be used to purchase items for the dragon.
