Wings in Tap Dance
Wings are a great step to incorporate into a routine. They look really cool and advanced, and they're a very flashy move that can help spice up competitions.
Practice While Sitting
1. Use a stool or a chair to sit on while you first practice this move. Place both feet together out in front of you.
2. Slide both feet across the floor and away from each other at the same time.
3. Spank the floor with both of your toes and bring both feet in toward your body.
4. End the move with a step down on to both of your toes.
Assisted Standing
Practice this move while standing, but try holding on to something for assistance. Keep doing this until you're comfortable to try it free standing.
Free Standing
When you try this move free standing, place your hands on your hips to help maintain your balance, and bend slightly at the knees to help give yourself some momentum when you're sliding your feet out across the floor.
