Introduction

  • One of the interesting things about Facebook is that it comes with a variety of applications that can be used for fun, games and to make your life a little easier.

Step 1: Finding the Right Facebook Application

  • Once you log in to Facebook, you'll need to perform a search. Type the word Twitter into the upper right-hand search bar and hit enter. You can narrow the search down by only allowing applications to appear.

Step 2: Allowing the Twitter Application

  • Once you find the application called TwitterSync, you will need to first download it to your Facebook account, and then give it permission to access your twitter account. You will need to provide the following information:
  1. Twitter username
  2. Password (only if your updates are marked private)
  3. Choose "Allow Twitter to Update Your Facebook Status"

Step 3: Updates from Twitter to Facebook

  • Now that you have installed and allowed the application, your twitter updates will appear regularly within your Facebook feed. Friends on Facebook will know what you are up to all day long. Here is one thing you will definitely want to be careful of:

  • Turn off @ replies from Twitter, since most of your Facebook friends won't know what that means. To do this, add the @ sign to the section of the application that filters out certain types of tweets.

Conclusion

  • When you're on the go, you probably enjoy having the luxury of staying in touch with friends and family on your social networks. Now you can manage both Twitter and Facebook together, cutting the amount of time you spend between the two in half.
