• The specific guidelines to submit an entry to the Clio Award will differ from year to year. Consult the Web site for the Clio Awards for instructions. If there are no available instructions, the application process has probably not started for the specific year you want to compete in. The application process usually begin a few months before the award ceremony.

• Before submitting an entry, familiarize yourself with the awards, if you have not already done so.
• The Clio Awards consist of six different categories: moving image awards, emerging media awards, print & radio awards, design awards, lifetime achievement awards and Strategic Communications/Public Relations

1. The PR category is open for for-profit and non-profit organizations involved in areas such as public relations, public affairs and publicity.
2. The most prestigious awards are Grand Clio and induction into the Clio Hall of Fame.
3. The second most prestigious prize is the Gold Clio.
4. The Gold Clio is followed by the Silver and Bronze Clio.
5. Jurors forming several different juries select the winners. Before doing so, they eliminate about 90% of the submissions and then make a second selection to determine the final winners.
