Step 1: Wash and Preparation
- Wash and condition your hair.
- Get the hair 80 to 90 percent dry before putting a brush in your hair.
Spray hair with heat protectant and volumizing spray. Apply in sections from roots to ends.
Separate your hair into four sections: the top, both sides and the back. Use clips to separate the treated sections from the untreated sections.
Step 2: Blow Dry One Side
Starting at one side, take the brush and have the air following behind the brush.
As you get to the ends, make sure you're wrapping your hair upwards around the brush.
Step 3: Blow Dry the Top
Take horizontal sections on the top.
If you have bangs, start there at the roots. You want to make sure you're pulling the hair forward with the brush to create more volume on the crown area.
- Finish blow drying the rest of the top.
Step 4: Blow Dry the Other Side
- Follow the same directions from the first step.
Step 5: Blow Dry the Back
Separate the back of your head into vertical sections.
Starting at the roots, brush your hair downwards while blowing dry.
- Finish off with a shine serum or balm.c
