How to Stretch a Window Vertically in Windows 7 Video
This video posted on YouTube in June 2010 by Mahalo.com presents Morgan Mendieta offering a Windows 7 tutorial. This tutorial provides a visual overview of how to stretch a window vertically. This video is part of a series of Window 7 tips offered by Mahalo.
Step 1: Activate Window
Click on the window you want to stretch vertically to bring to the front of the screen and make it the active window. Look at the window and review the space above and below the window. If no space is visible, you will be unable to stretch the window vertically. If space is present, stretching the window may give you more visibility into the window's contents.
Step 2: Stretch the Window
Locate your windows key. Depending on your keyboard layout, you may have more than one windows key. The key is designated with the windows flag icon.
Hold down any windows key and press the up arrow on your keyboard. The window will expand to the top and bottom of your computer screen.
Step 3: Shrink the Window
Return the window to its original size by holding down the windows key and pressing the down arrow. You can stretch and shrink the active window as often as needed.
