You can choose any of these two ways to use your printer wirelessly; Bluetooth or WiFi. However, WiFi can cover more area than Bluetooth. Before going on, please be sure to have all these materials listed below.- A computer, which will be used as main/base computer,
- Wireless network card or Bluetooth device, which will be used to make a wireless network.
- Wireless router (If you choose WiFi for setup wireless printer),
- Bluetooth dongle (If you choose Bluetooth for wireless networking) and
- A printer, which will be used for setup.

Step 1: Setup Bluetooth or WiFi in your base computer.
Recently released computers have Bluetooth or WiFi built in. If you don’t have this, you will need to install a WiFi adaptor internally or externally to get WiFi capability, or install a Bluetooth dongle (Bluetooth device) to make it Bluetooth capable.Usually every printer has necessary drivers and software to use these with computer. After installing them turn on your computer and use the computer to detect the Bluetooth signal. Then data can be sent to print via Bluetooth (If you had choose Bluetooth for wireless networking).
Step 2: Make your wireless network.
Now you need a wireless router. Setup it into your base computer, by installing necessary software or drivers that come with the router. Finally you need to install another software CD to configure all the proper hardware of wireless networking. During the installation, the wireless printer should be detected. But if the hardware setting is still not changed, please change it manually by following instructions of below.Step 3:Manual configuration of wireless printer.
Click on the “start” menu then choose the “control panel” option. Turn your control panel into “classic view”, now you can see the “Printers” or “Printers and Faxes” icon, click on it. There is a option named “Add a Printer” which is placed at tasks bar. Click on it and you will get a printer adding wizard. Then while you adding printer by using the wizard, you need to select the option Network, wireless or Bluetooth printer. Finish the adding and check the detection of the router.
