Introduction
- You were excited about camp, but now you're starting to miss your familly a bit. Or, you're having so much fun you want to fill them in! One of the best ways to communicate from camp is to send a letter by snail mail. Some camps do not allow email and texting, anyway, so snail mail may be the only way to go.
Step 1: Pack for Letter Writing
- Before you even leave home, it is a good idea to pack writing paper or stationery.
- Write your home address on the envelopes.
- Put a stamp on them.
- When you get ready to write a letter, those details will be taken care of.
Step 2: Write the Letter
- During quiet time at camp, grab your stationery and start writing. You can tell your family and friends all about
- Your favorite activities
- Camp food
- Camp songs
- Your counselors
- Your new friends and cabinmates
- New skills or triumphs (like swimming all the way across the lake, or sailing a boat on your own)
