Introduction
Before you shop for your next cosmetics purchase, do a little advanced planning. Don’t wait until you run out to shop - women usually end up over-spending this way. Plan to look for deals in the Sunday paper inserts and shop around online so you can save money but still look like the glam diva that you are! -
Step 1: Gift with Purchase
If you normally buy your makeup from a department store makeup counter, ask them if they have an upcoming gift with purchase. A gift with purchase is a promotion that most upscale cosmetic companies to do promote their products where buyers get free cosmetics and other items with their purchase. If you buy foundation from Elizabeth Arden, plan to purchase it during ‘gift’ week. The gifts often include lipstick or gloss, mascara, eyeliners, sample sizes of perfumes, a nice makeup bag and other cosmetics. Since you’re buying the foundation anyway, getting the gift is icing on the cake - for no money! -
Step 2: Samples
Higher end department stores often have beauty events during the year. [[Macy’s]] has one at least once a year at many of their department stores. For the price of admission, participants get lots of free samples, makeovers, and the advice of many on hand experts. They even have drawings where the lucky winners can win gift bags from Clinique, Estee Lauder and more! These stores almost always give a sample or two with purchase and if they don't do it automatically - just ask!

You can find quality eye and lip pencils, mascaras, makeup remover, brushes, gloss and false eye lashes for much lower than you would at an upscale shop and you may not even be able to tell the difference. So consider saving the big bucks for where it counts and stock up these items at your local CVS Store!Resources Powered by Google
