Step 1: Preparation for Roasting Almonds
Required Ingredients
A basic roasted almond recipe needs very minimal ingredients:
- 350g/12oz Organic Whole Pasteurized Sweet Almonds, with the skin on

- Roasting tray, baking pan or skillet
- Slotted spoon
- Oven or stove-top
- Pastry brush

- Colander/sieve

Step 2: Method of Roasting Almonds
Provided below is the method required to take the Pasteurized Almonds to being a perfect roasted dish for all the family:
- Pre-heat your oven to 180C/350F/Gas mark 4
- Cover the roasting tray with aluminium foil
- Wash your almonds to remove any dirt/impurities
- Pour the Almonds onto the baking tray and spread the almonds out
- With the pastry brush evenly spread the oil or melted butter over your Almonds (this can be done by hand if you do not have a pastry brush)
- Cook in your oven (or on a stovetop) for 12-15 minutes. Check frequently as Almonds are prone to burning. Time required will vary from oven to oven. Stir frequently to ensure even cooking of your batch of Almonds
- When you're happy the Almonds are cooked to your satisfaction, pour them into a colander/sieve and leave to rest for 2-3 minutes. This will drain through any excess fluid.
- Next take the slotted spoon and place the Almonds onto some kitchen paper, to drain them well
- The Almonds can now be eaten as they are, or a wide range of toppings can be added according to taste
