Step 1: Gather All Materials
Before you begin disassembling your iPhone, make sure that you have everything you will need to complete the project. You will of course need your damaged phone and the replacement screen and digitizer. But you will also need a few other things to make the process easier. You will need packing tape and a suction cup to help you remove the screen. A small plastic stick will allow your to remove the LCD screen and detach the connections. Step 2: Remove the Damaged Screen

- On the bottom of the phone, you will find two screws. These will need to be removed first.
- Next place a strip of packing tape on the screen.
- Secure the suction cup to the broken screen and lift up gently.
- Do not pull the cables. Use the plastic stick to remove the cables marked one and two. Under the cable marked two, you will see a cable marked three that will also need to be removed.
- Pull the screen free.
- Remove the six screws along the edge of the screen.
- Separate the LCD from the glass by sliding the LCD towards the home button and detaching it.
- Use a hairdryer to soften the glue and remove glass particles from inside the phone.
Step 3: Replace the New Screen
You are now ready to attach the new screen. Be sure to remove any plastic film or stickers from the new screen. Take the super glue and apply it sparingly to the edges and line up the new glass on the frame. Replace the LCD screen and replace all six screws. Secure the connections by first replacing connection number three, then two and finally one.
