• If you're like some other iPhone owners, the ease with which you can download iPhone apps from the app store may have led you to download more than you actually need. If your memory is full and you want to replace older apps with new ones, or just get rid of apps you no longer use, it takes just a few simple steps to remove them from your iPhone. You can remove apps either directly from your iPhone, or using iTunes on your computer

• To delete applications from your iPhone:

1. Turn on your iPhone
2. Locate the icon for the app you want to remove
3. Hold your finger on the icon until the icon begins to wiggle
4. Click the "X" in the upper left corner of the icon for the app you want to delete

Apps you delete this way will be removed from your iPhone, but will be reinstalled on the device the next time you sync your iPhone with iTunes. To avoid this, use the method described below.

• You can also remove apps from your iPhone through using your computer by following the steps below. These apps will remain in your iTunes library in case you want to reinstall them on your iPhone later:

1. Open iTunes
2. Connect your iPhone to your computer
3. Locate and click on the "Applications" tab under "Library" on the left hand side of the screen
4. A list of all your applications will appear
5. Click on the check box next to the application you want to remove to uncheck it
6. Repeat the above step for any other apps you want to remove
7. Click on the apply button at the bottom of the screen
