In this video clip, makeup artist Davee Troublefield demonstrates an effective way to get rid of dark under eye circles. There are a number of products available that can help you vanish, or at least lessen the appearance of, darkness under the eyes. Troublefield uses one such product - an under eye product called "Photo Op" by Smashbox.

Step 1: Moisturize

Before you apply any eye brightener or concealer in an effort to banish the dark from under your eyes, you'll want to moisturize the eye area thoroughly. Apply a good eye cream or gel - some moisturizers are specifically formulated to help reduce puffiness. By reducing the puffiness under the eye, you may also lessen the look of dark circles. After applying the moisturizer, allow it to absorb for several minutes before moving on with your beauty routine.

Step 2: Apply Concealer

A good concealer can help to reduce, or even eliminate, the appearance of dark circles in the under eye area. Once you have applied a moisturizer and allowed ample time for it to sink in, you'll want to apply a concealer to the under eye area. Choose a concealer a shade or two lighter than your natural skin tone and gently pat it under the eyes, working from the inner corner out. Concealers are available not only to cover but to possibly "neutralize" the dark pigmentation under the eye.
