Introduction
- Most BlackBerry mobile devices come pre-loaded with several applications and users can download additional applications from the BlackBerry Application Center. If you're looking to free up memory space on your BlackBerry or simply want to get rid of applications that you don't use, you can remove these apps quickly and easily using one of the two methods detailed below.

At 1 minute long, this was the quickest video that I could find on the topic. It went by so quickly I had to replay it a few times, it looks like it could be exactly what some people are looking for. There is no sound, it just shows you the steps as each button is pressed until you reach delete.

Using Your BlackBerry
- The easier of the two methods to remove unwanted BlackBerry applications is to do so directly from the device.
- Turn on your BlackBerry
- Press the "Menu" button
- On the next screen, locate and select "Options"
- On the next screen, locate and select "Advanced Options" and then "Applications"
- Wait as the device loads the list of your installed applications
- Once the application list has loaded, scroll down until you locate the application you want to uninstall and make sure it is highlighted
- Press the "Menu" button to bring up the application management menu; it will be located in the bottom left corner of the screen
- Locate and select the "Delete" option in the application management menu
- You will be prompted to verify whether you want to remove the selected application; select "Yes" to remove the app
Before You Begin
- To uninstall BlackBerry apps from the device using your computer, you will need a USB cable to connect your BlackBerry to your computer. You will also need the Blackberry Desktop Manager software—if this software is not already installed on your computer, you can download it from the official BlackBerry website. Depending on which operating system your computer is running, you may also have to download the necessary USB drivers. The drivers will also be available for download from the official BlackBerry website.
Uninstalling Apps
- Once you have the necessary software and drivers installed on your computer, connect your BlackBerry to your computer using your USB cable and open Blackberry Desktop Manager.
- On the main Blackberry Desktop Manager menu, locate and select the "Application Loader" option
- From the next menu, select "Add/Remove Applications" by clicking on the "Start" button below it
- The program will then load and display a list of all the applications you have installed on the device
- Scroll down the list until you have located the application you want to remove and then click the checked box next to it to remove the check
- Click "Continue"
- Desktop Manager will reset your BlackBerry to complete the uninstall
