Add software programs to your taskbar and organize them from left to right in an order that is convenient for your work style. You can organize it based on frequency of use or by grouping similar software programs together. For example, you can put all your Internet-based software together and group your office productivity software.
Step 3: Open New Software Instance
Open a new instance of a software program located on your taskbar by holding down the windows key and pressing the number that corresponds to its position on the taskbar. For example, if Internet Explorer is located next to the start menu button on your taskbar, it is in position 1. To open Internet Explorer, quickly hold down the windows key and press 1 to open the program. Program numbers increase as you move from left to right.
