There is even a chat option so that you can talk while you play and potentially become friends. The only requirement is that your computer must have Adobe Flash. If you have never played Uno or you have played but it has been a while, this how to play Uno on Facebook page will provide you with the information that you need to get started.

Facebook announced in March 25, 2009, Mattel and GameHouse launched Uno. This is one more of the addictive games like Texas Hold'em and Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook sure to give you hours of fun game play.

There are social applications that go along with the game such as kisses and thumbs up and other encouraging tokens and there are several gag gifts to pass around the table as well. These typical multi-player interactions are meant to make the game even more fun.

Step 1: Beginning the Game of ''Uno''

To begin the game, log into Facebook and locate the application for Uno by typing in UNO into the search box. This will bring you to a list of applications, choose the "Uno" application. A small box will pop up asking you to accept. Hit accept.

The game will tell you to click play and you will be matched with three other players from around the world. Once you have four players you will be ready to start your game of Uno. The cards will be dealt and then play begins. The first person to begin will chosen by the computer.

Step 2: Special Cards

There are several wild cards and reverse cards. Until and unless the reverse card is played play goes in clockwise order.

When can the reverse be played? Only when the color of the card is on the withdraw pile. At the point the the reverse card is played, then play direction flips and continues in the opposite direction until reverse is played again. If the reverse card is on the withdraw pile it can be played by the player next in rotation.

All cards have to follow the number on the withdraw pile top card, the symbol of the card or the color of the card. Discarding that card into the pile. If you can not play then you will draw from the draw pile. If you draw a playable card then you will play that card. If you draw any card that is unplayable you pass and it becomes the next players turn.

If someone has called Uno then playing the skip card would be a good strategy, as this skips their turn for 1 play.

If you have no matching number and no matching color then you can play the wild card. This will cause the person next in rotation to draw additional cards and you are able to choose the color that you want to have in play. Some of the Wild cards cause a draw of 4 cards and some will only demand 2 be drawn.

Step 3: Begin Game Play

Once it is your turn the computer will highlight the cards in your hand that can be played on this turn. Play one of the cards that is the same color, number or symbol of the last played card. The play will continue to the next player and they will play a like colored card or a same symbol or number being played. With an occasional wild cards thrown in to keep the color that each player needs to complete playing out their cards. The first one to play all of their cards will be named the winner.

When you have played all your cards but the last 2 and it is now your turn and you have two cards in your hand the first thing you need to do is call Uno. If you miss this chance, you will be forced to draw two additional cards.

Once you have called Uno then play continues as normal and the first person that plays their last card is the winner of the game. Points are taken from anyone with remaining cards in their hands and then a Facebook badge and notification will be available to make the winning announcement.
