Perfect World Online is a fantasy MMORPG in which the action takes place in a Chinese mythical world named Pangu. The game is developed by Beijing Perfect World and is available only on PC. Perfect World Online was released in July 2005 (in China), October 2007 (in Koreea), and 2008 (in North America and Europe). It was published by different companies: Beijing Perfect World (for China), Perfect World Entertainment (for North America) and Games-Masters Ltd. Perfect World Online received 3 expansions:

• The Lost Empire – which improved the quest system, added new skills and more, etc.

Four races are available in Perfect World Online. Each of them can only access certain classes and because of this feature you should carefully study what classes are available for each race and what particularities they have. If you choose a race and a class but your character is not what you expected, you can turn back and create a new one. Here is a list with the races available in the game:

• Untamed - Is a race that can only play as a Barbarian or Venomancer. The player will start in City of the Lost and choosing this race will give you the chance to shape-shift into beasts: birds, mantas, aerogear or dragons. • Humans - is the biggest race in the game and they can be found everywhere. As a human your class can be Blademaster or Wizard and you will start in Etherblade. • Winged Elves - is the third race in Perfect World Online and can only access the Archers and the Clerics as classes. It is also the only race that can fly in the game starting with level 1. • Tideborn – is a mysterious race in Perfect World Online. They are the rulers of the sea and 2 classes can be played with a Tideborn: Psychic and Assassin. After choosing your race in Perfect World Online, the next step is too pick your class. Here is the list with all the classes available in the game and some of their features:

• Venomancer - is the only class in the game that can tame beasts. Their pets can be used as tanks allowing the player to solo the enemies. A Venomancer can wear Heavy Armors or Robes and use Wands, Magic Swords, Patakas, and Glaives. More to that, a Venomancer can also shape-shift into a fox, which has increased physical defense and accuracy. • Barbarian – is the second class in Perfect World Online that can shape-shift, but unlike the Venomancer, they can become tigers. They are the main tanks in the game capable to increase the threat in order to allow their party to hit the target without receiving damage. They use Dual Axes, Poleaxes, Dual Hammers and Polehammers as weapons and heavy armors. • Wizard – is a ranged damage dealer capable to develop three paths: Fire (offensive spells), Water (buffing spells) and Earth (debuff spells). Their armor is weak because they wear Arcane Armor but they inflict the biggest damage in the game. • Blademaster – it is the melee class that has the biggest weapons arsenal in the game. If you choose this class you should consider wearing heavy armors and you should not be worried about weapons because you can use: Blades, Dual Blades, Swords, Dual Swords, Pikes, Poleblades, Clubs, Dual Axess, Poleaxes, Dual Hammers, Polehammers, Claws and Fist Weapons. • Archers – are ranged fighters capable to wear Light Armors and fight with Slingshots, Bows and Crossbows. That is not all because an Archer can also cast spells, making his class a balanced one. • Clerics – are the healers in Perfect World Online. They use Robes, Wands, Magic Swords, Patakas and Glaives. To play with this class you have to master some skills because the entire party depends on your healing abilities. As a Cleric you will gain access to the best healing spells and buffs but you will be an easy target to a melee attacker. • Psychic – can only be accessed by Tideborn. Mastering the elements of Earth and Water, a Psychic can cast spells at a high speed, stunning and paralyzing the enemies. • Assassins – are able to use Daggers to finish their enemies faster. Causing their victims to bleed abundantly the Assasin can sneak behind his target and quickly provoke serious wounds. If he is using poison, that target is usual dead within seconds. Perfect World Online features a wide range of mounts, divided in two.
