Step 1: Learn to Play the Chords

Start with the capo on the first fret on the neck of your guitar. Learn to play the chords used for the intro, chorus, and verse: B Minor, E minor, D Major, A Major, and G. 

  • B Minor-  Hold down the second string on the second fret, the fifth string on the third fret and the third and fourth strings on the fourth fret below the capo. Strum from the second string to the bottom to play the chord.

  • D Major- Hold the fourth and sixth string on the second fret below the capo and the fifth string on the third fret below the capo. Strum from the second string to the bottom to play the chord.

Step 2: Learn the Strumming Patterns

For the intro and verse, play the pattern B Minor, D Major, A Major, G Major, then A Major. The pattern for the pre-chorus is E Minor, G Major, D Major, A Major, E Minor, G Major then A Major. Step 3: Try Playing the Entire Song
