Verses

The verses of the song should be played using a palm mute technique.  Keep your strumming hand close to the end of the strings and gently place the base of your palm on the strings to keep them from vibrating openly.  The chord progression is as such: C Major (muted string, third fret, second fret, open string, first fret, open string), A Minor (mute, open, second, second, first, open), F Major (mute, mute, third, second, first, first), G Major (third, second, open, open, third, third), E Minor (open, second, second, open, open, open), A Minor, F Major, G Major.  Each chord should be strummed four times before moving to the next.

Chorus

The chorus is played with an open strum, allowing for a louder, richer sound.  The chord progression is as follows: A Minor, D Minor (mute, open, open, second, third, first), G Major, C Major, C/B (mute, second, mute, open, first, open), A Minor, D Minor, G Major, C Major, A Minor, E Minor, G Major.  The C Major and C/B chords are played for only half a bar instead of a full bar.  This progression creates a cascading effect down into A Minor.  All other chords should be played for a full bar or two strums.

Bridge

The bridge for the song, like the verses, are played with the palm mute effect.  The chord progression is as such: D Minor, A Minor, G Major, D Minor 7 (mute, mute, open, second, first, first), A Minor, G Major, D Minor, A Minor, G Major.
