  • FishVille is a brand new game by Zynga, the makers of popular Facebook games FarmVille and CafeWorld. FishVille allows you to create your own virtual aquarium to share with your friends. This game was released in November 2009. From growing and selling fish to visiting the aquariums that your friends make - we will teach you how to play FishVille.

    FishVille is an incredibly fun and addicting game. You start out with just one aquarium and can eventually earn and buy additional tanks as you level up and make more money in the game. Another big part of FishVille is decorating your tank, so you if you're someone who enjoys being an interior designer - this is game for you! You can buy plants, decorative items, and even other animals such as snails and crabs!

    FishVille is mostly a single player game, however there are some multiplayer aspects to it that allow you to visit tanks that other people make. You can also send and receive gifts which can help you decorate your tank quicker and make it look quite nice. FishVille is easy to learn and a blast to play, so let's get started.

    Playing FishVille is very easy to learn, the game helps you with a great tutorial that introduces you to the mechanics. The basic objective is to grow your fish and sell them. You can also decorate your tank however you would like, expand your tank and buy additional tanks, add tank neighbors and visit their aquariums, and eventually you'll be able to earn awards based on how good of a fishkeeper you are. Here is a guide that will teach you how to play FishVille.

  • Step 1: Install FishVille

    The first step to playing FishVille is to find it on Facebook. The best way to do this is by using the search box in the top right of Facebook. This will bring up a list of pages and applications related to FarmVille. You should follow the on screen instructions to install FishVille and get started with the introductory tutorial. This tutorial will teach you the basics for buying and selling fish.

  • Step 2: Start Breeding Fish

    The main objective of FishVille is to earn XP and coins and level up your fish tank. The best way to do this is by growing and selling fish. To buy a fish, click on the "Store" button in the lower right. You can then click through all the various fish that are available to you and choose what kind of fish you place in your tank. When you first start out, you can only place 15 fish total in your tank. As time goes on, you'll be able to buy bigger additional tanks to house more fish in.

    Once you've chosen which fish you want to place in your tank, click inside your tank anywhere to place the fish. It will start out as a small fish and will grow over time. If you hover your mouse over the fish, you'll see that there are meters for growth and hunger. Keep your fish happy by feeding him.

  • Step 3: Sell Your Fish

    Once your growth meter is full for a fish, you can sell it. Selling a fish is the best way to earn XP and coins as fast as possible. Each fish has a different coin and XP value associated with it. Generally, the more expensive fish that take longer to grow and mature (and therefore longer to sell) will give you the most XP and coin. If you don't sell your fish right when they get to 100%, they will die. Keep your fish from dying by selling it and earning rewards for it!

  • Step 4: Send and Receive Gifts

    Receiving gifts is the best way to build up a great looking aquarium. You can get aquarium decorations, plants, and toys easily by receiving them as gifts from other players. The best way to get gifts is to give them! You can give gifts to friends by clicking "Free Gifts" above your fish tank.

  • Step 5: Help Neighbors

    Adding neighbors in FishVille allows you to visit their tanks and help them out. You will get alerts about your neighbors tanks that are too hot or too cold, and you will be able to stop in and fix it for them. Doing this will earn you XP, which in turn will unlock new and exciting fish and decorations that you can use in your tank.
