Happy Aquarium, like most other games on Facebook, is designed to be a socially interactive game. If you have not done so already, you will need to set up an account on Facebook before you can play Happy Aquarium. Fish can be purchased from the store, or can be bred when there are two adult fish of the same breed. You simply click on a fish and a menu will open. This menu shows the name and type of fish, age and hunger status, and at the bottom there are tabs for mate, train or sell. If you select mate, a confirm message, giving the odds of success will appear, and you can continue or cancel. If you select the train tab, a mini game will open. The first time you play this mini game, take a minute to look at the "how to play" screen. This will show you hazards, falling objects to avoid, and falling objects to collect . You are given 3 chances per day per fish to make it through the obstacle course. You gain extra points by making it through the course and each fish can be trained for 7 different levels. As with other Facebook games, items needed for game play can be purchased from the store. Some items can be purchased with coins, but other items can only be purchased with pearls. One pearl is awarded each time a new level is reached. You will need to keep your fish well fed and it is important to clean the tank on regular basis. You feed by clicking the fish food icon and refill by purchasing food from the store. 1. As with most games on Facebook, play continues even when the game is closed or you are logged out.
2. If your fish are not fed for three days they will get sick.
3. If you fish are sick for three days they will die.
4. Each time you clean the tank you earn points, so you will level up faster if you keep the tank clean.
5. You start the game with a treasure chest. Click it to receive coins and each day it will be refilled with more coins.
6. You can visit any of your friends tanks by clicking a neighbor's picture at the bottom of the screen.
7. While you are visiting a friend's tank, you can click on the treasure chest to receive some coins. This will not reduce the number of coins your friend will receive that day.
8. While visiting a friend's tank you can also clean their tank and receive additional experience points.
9. You can expand your own tank, and you can add additional tanks if you have enough coins.
