How to Play a G Major 7th Chord
G major seventh chords sound jazzy and complicated but they're actually easy and fun to play. Start by playing a standard G major chord. Place your right thumb on G, your middle finger on B and your little finger on D. Now, to turn it into an G major 7th chord, cross your left hand over your right and place your left index finger on F#.
With practice, you can play the G major seventh chord with one hand. To play a GMaj7 with your right hand, place your thumb on G, your index finger on B, your middle finger on D and your little finger on F#. Playing 4-note chords with one hand takes practice so try not to get frustrated!
