Pick Your Own Pod
If you're looking for a new way to enjoy your chocolate, try picking up a cocoa pod from your local farmers' market. Open up the pod with a knife and take out the beans from inside. Ferment and dry the beans before using. Once you have the nibs, you can grind them on a stone.c
Making Healthy Chocolate
Once you have the ground cacao, you can add any additional flavors you want (try almond, cinnamon or chili). Then you can add natural cane sugar to give it some sweetness. Keep in mind that the darker the chocolate, the higher the percentage of cocoa is and the richer the flavor will be.c
