Part of the fun of playing games on the Nintendo Wii is being able to do so using a custom-made character known as a Mii. Mahalo's guide on how to make your Mii will show you how to create and edit your own individual character.
Introduction
- One of the things that makes the Nintendo Wii gaming console unique is that it allows players to create individualized characters using the Wii Mii studio. You can choose your Mii's hair, eye and skin color, and accessorize it as you wish. Once you have created your Mii, you can use him or her to play most games on your Wii console.
Step 1: Creating a New Mii
- Making a new Mii is a simple process that can be completed in a few minutes.
- Note: To make a selection, point your Wii remote at your desired on-screen option and press the "A" button
- Turn on your Wii and pick up one of your Wii Remotes
- From the main menu, select the Mii Channel
- Choose your Mii's sex by selecting the male or female icon
Step 2: Customize Your Mii's Body
Select the "body" icon, which is the second button to the left on the top of your screen
Use the top slider to select your Mii's height
Use the bottom slider to select how fat or thin you want your Mii to be
Slide the sliders to the left or right until you reach your desired body shape
Step 3: Customize Your Mii's Face
- The remaining buttons running along the top of the screen allow you to customize your Mii's face. Using these buttons, you can change your Mii's face shape, skin color, hair color and style, evebrows, eyes, nose and lips. Simply select the item you want to customize and then select whichever option you desire.
Step 4: Save Your Mii
- Once your Mii looks the way you want it to, you'll want to save it in the system. Use your Wii remote to select the "save and quit" option. You will then be asked to name your Mii, which you can do by selecting the letters on the screen. Your Mii will now be saved in the Mii Plaza, from which you can select it whenever you want to use it to play a Wii game.
Conclusion
Using the Mii Channel, you can create a Mii that looks just like you or your favorite celebrity. If you want to create additional Miis, just go to the Mii Channel, select the "New Mii" option and follow steps 2-4 above. If you want to change your Mii's appearance at any time, you can do so by using the "Edit Mii" option.
