How to Make the Best Baked Chicken Wings Ever

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs of chicken wings
  • Glaze of your choice (see recipes to the right)c 

Equipment

  • Large pot with lid
  • Steamer basket
  • Slotted spoon
  • Paper towels
  • Tongs
  • Cookie sheet
  • Cooling rack
  • Parchment paper
  • Basting brushc 

Cooking Process

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and place the chicken wings in the steamer basket. Let cook for 10 minutes.
  2. While the wings steam, set out a cookie sheet layered with paper towels and place the cooling rack on top.
  3. Remove the wings from the steamer with the tongs and place on paper towels on the countertop to absorb excess water.
  4. Transfer the wings to the cookie sheet/cooling rack tray and place in the fridge for an hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425° F.
  6. Take the wings out of the fridge. Remove the paper towels from the tray and replace them with parchment paper.
  7. Place the wings in your preheated oven and cook for 20 minutes.
  8. Flip the wings and cook for another 20 minutes so that the skin is crispy.
  9. Choose a glaze from the list on the right and use the basting brush to spread the glaze over the wings. Flip the wings and spread glaze to the other side.
  10. Place on plate and serve. You can always make an additional dipping sauce (also from the list on the right) for your wings.
