This tutorial is appropriate for all skill levels. Each craft will take no longer that 10 or 15 minutes to finish. Below you will find out how to create a festive wreath, sparkly leaf decorations and a cornucopia pouch that can be filled with candy and Thanksgiving facts.
You may want to make more than one of these projects. So, plan ahead and cut out the templates on stacks of paper at a time. Then, you can assemble the supplies quickly. For instance, your child could do the gluing while you cut out the shapes.

Decorative Leaf Clothespins
Directions:
- Cut out the provided template shapes from the printed page.
- Trace the shapes onto a piece of construction paper or thin cardboard to create a new template.
- Use a pencil with this new template and copy the shapes to your construction paper.
- Cut out your leaves.
- Take a clothespin and place a line of glue along its length.
- Then, center a large leaf over the glue to secure it.
- Attach one or two of the smaller leaves to the large one for variety.
- Let it dry before adding extra decorations.
- After it has dried, trace the leaf veins with a 3D glitter paint pen to get extra sparkle.
- Once finished, you can hang them on curtains or furniture as you wish.
Autumn Wreath
- Supplies:
- Paper plate
- Glue
- Several Autumn colored Construction Papers
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
- 6 inch piece of string
Directions:
- Draw a large circle in the middle of your paper plate. You should be left with a 2 inch ring. Set it aside.
- Print out three pages of the provided leaf tags on a few different colored papers.
- Cut out the leaves.
- Glue and arrange the leaves around the paper ring remembering to mix up the sizes and colors.
- Let dry then punch a small hole in the top and thread with the piece of yarn.
- Hang your wreath on a door or window.
Cornucopia Pouch
- Supplies:
- Glue
- Several Autumn colored Construction Papers
- Scissors
- Hole Punch
- Paperclips
- Ball of matching yarn
Directions:
- Print out the provided horn template and stack it with two sheets of your main color paper.
- Use a paperclip to hold them together.
- Cut out the shape.
- Repeat steps 1 through 3 with your contrasting trim color and printout.
- Glue the trim on the top edge of the the two cornucopia pieces.
- Then, clip both finished sides together and punch out holes all along the sides a 1/2 inch a part and 1/4 inch away from the edge.
- Using about 48 inches of yarn, weave it in and out of the holes to connect the two halves. Leave a 2 inch loop at the top.
- Now, printout the food and leaf graphics on various sheets of paper.
- Cut them out and glue to the inside top edge of the horn.
- Fill it with treats.
- You can also write fun Thanksgiving and Fall facts on small cards and place them inside.
- Hang over a mantle or on a door.
