How to Make Tangy Brown Sugar Glaze for Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp ginger, ground
  • 1 1/2 tbsp tabasco

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Spatula (for mixing and stirring)
  • Pastry brush

Preparation Process

  1. Warm skillet over medium heat.
  2. Combine water, ketchup, brown sugar and vinegar in warm skillet. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Add tabasco to mix. Keep stirring to let the water evaporate and sugar carmelize (you want it to turn into a glaze that will stick to your pastry brush).
  4. When it's thick enough, brush the glaze on top of your chicken wings and serve! Easy as pie.
