What You'll Need to Make Stuffed Mushrooms
- 10 ounce package of white button mushrooms, washed and dried, stems removed
- 4 ounces of unsalted butter, melted, and divided
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
- 1 tablespoon onion, minced
- 1/2 cup dried bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese

How to Make Stuffed Mushrooms
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Dip the mushrooms in half of the melted butter, and place in the baking dish. Reserve the unused butter.
- Combine the parsley, onion, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and egg in a mixing bowl.
- Mix well.
- Fill each mushroom cap with the stuffing mixture.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top of the mushrooms, and drizzle the remaining butter on top as well.
- Bake the mushrooms for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.

- Plan on two to three mushrooms per person as a cocktail hour hors d'oeuvre.
- A mushroom brush makes cleaning the mushrooms easier.
- Add canned crabmeat, and double the number of mushrooms to create seafood stuffed mushrooms.
- Don't overcook the mushrooms, as the stuffing could dry out.
