Want to make party drinks like a professional bartender? Slippery nipples look impressive, but they are easy to make (they taste great, too). Read on to learn how to make a slippery nipple shot.
Introduction
The origins of the slippery nipple are unclear, but it most likely was invented in the 1980's. Many new drinks and shots were created in this era, often with attention-catching names. The slippery nipple is easy to drink, and a good choice for parties or casual get-togethers.
Step 1: Get Ingredients Ready
You need:
- White Sambuca, chilled
- Irish cream, chilled
- Grenadine (optional)
- Clear shot glasses (so that the layering can be seen).
Step 2: Make the Shots
- Fill a shot glass half way with Sambuca.
- Carefully drizzle the Irish cream down the side of the shot glass, so that it floats on top of the Sambuca. You may also pour it over the top of an upside-down spoon, if that is easier for you. It may take a couple of practice tries to get the Irish cream to float.
- If desired, pour a drop of grenadine on top so that it resembles a nipple.
- Serve immediately
Step 3: Drink Responsibly
These shots taste so good, it is easy to forget about the high alcohol content. Take time in between shots, and be careful not to drink more than your metabolism can handle.
