In this video, Mahalo cooking expert Judith Jones demonstrates how to saute kale with toasted pine nuts.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tsp of sliced garlic
- 1 bunch of curly kale, destemmed, coarsely chopped
- Toasted pine nuts
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation
1. Heat oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
2. Brown garlic in oil for three to four minutes.
3. Fold in kale and saute lightly for no more than four to five minutes.
4. Quickly stir in pine nuts.
5. Season to taste and remove from heat.
6. Serve promptly. Makes an excellent complement to any meat dish, or even pasta.
