If you are entertaining or are planning to throw a party, you can't go wrong by serving purple hooter shots. These are light, citrusy, and pack some alcoholic punch. They are simple to whip up, and you can make them as strong or mild as you please by altering the proportion of the ingredients.

There are only a few ingredients in purple hooters: vodka, lime juice and raspberry liqueur (such as Chambord). Use fresh lime for a tangy taste, sweetened lime juice for a more mellow flavor, or a combination of both.

You will also need a cocktail shaker with strainer, ice and shot glasses. If you do not have a shaker, then you will have to improvise. While it is possible to stir purple hooters, they simply taste far better when shaken.
