Pork tenderloin is a tender boneless cut of meat, which cooks easily and quickly. The tenderloin will be ready n about 15-20 minutes, so its an easy dish to serve both for family meals, and for entertaining. This page provides instructions on how to prepare pork tenderloin three ways. -
Step 1: Broiled Pork Tenderloin
To serve six:Broiled Pork Tenderloin Ingredients
- 2 pork tenderloins, about 3/4 pounds each
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon mixed dried herbs (thyme, sage, rosemary, and/or oregano)
How to Broil Pork Tenderloin
- Preheat the broiler
- Rub the oil on the meat, covering all sides.
- Roll the meat in the dried herbs.
- Place the meat on a broiler rack.
- Broil 4 inches from the heat source for 6 minutes.
- Turn the tenderloin and broil 6 minutes on the other side.
Step 2: Skillet-Fried Pork Tenderloin
To serve four:Skillet-Fried Tenderloin Ingredients
- 1 pork tenderloins, about 1 pound
- 1/2 cup flour
- Salt and pepper
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
Skillet-Fried Pork Tenderloin
- Season the flour with salt and pepper.
- Slice the pork into 3/4 inch thick slices.
- Dredge each slice in the flour mixture.
- Heat the oil to high in a skillet.
- Place the slices in the skillet and sear on each side.
- Lower heat and cook for another 5 minutes, until cooked through.
- Remove meat from skillet and keep warm.
- Add wine and stock to the skillet and turn heat up to high.
- Boil, stirring constantly until liquid is reduced by half.
- Pour sauce over pork and serve.
