Making Peanut Butter Cookies Tips
- Opt for crunchy peanut butter over creamy as it will give the cookies added texture and taste.
- Remove the cookies promptly from the oven once they have baked. Additional oven time will lead to dry cookies.
- Rotate the cookie sheet halfway through the baking process to ensure even baking for all the cookies.
- Don't remove the cookies from the baking sheet until they have cooled for five minutes. Removing them too soon may cause them to lose their shape.
- For extra sweetness, top each cookie with a miniature peanut butter cup as soon as you remove the cookies from the oven.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Stir the baking powder, baking soda and flour together in a medium bowl. Put these dry ingredients aside to be used later.
Step 2: Combine Ingredients
- Now that you've done the preparation work, you're ready to mix the ingredients together.
- Cream the butter for two to three minutes.
- Combine the peanut butter, white sugar and brown sugar to the butter, and mix thoroughly using the mixer.
- Beat in the egg and the vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients mixture of flour, baking soda and baking powder.
- Mix until these dry ingredients are completely stirred into the wet ingredients. The dough should be pale in color and have a light consistency.
Step 3: Bake the Cookies
- Now that you've got the dough fully prepared, it's time to bake those cookies!
- Form the dough into one inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Make sure to space the dough balls evenly, allowing about two inches of space between them.
- Dip a fork in flour and press it gently into the top of each dough ball. Turn the fork a quarter-turn and again press it gently into the top of the cookie dough.
