A Perfect Paper Snowflake
This video explains that when it comes to making paper snowflakes, it isn't always about how you cut it, but the way you fold it. The tutorial in this video also uses a square piece of paper to create a small triangle of four layers. After the triangle has been formed, you can then begin cutting to create a snowflake design. Once that is complete, you can flatten the snowflake in a book or place wax paper on top of it and iron it on low. Multiple snowflakes can be placed on a string for an easy holiday decoration.

What You Will Need
Step 1: Fold The Paper
Before you can start cutting your paper to make the snowflake, you need to fold the paper in specific ways. Folding the paper is a very important part of this whole project. Here are the steps to take to fold your paper.- Take a square piece of paper and fold it corner to corner to make a triangle.
- Fold the triangle along its height to form another triangle.
- Position the triangle so that a point is facing down (towards you). Taking the two top corners, fold them to create two 60 degree folds. This is where a protractor may come in handy. This should form a narrow triangle with two "tails" hanging off the top.
Step 3: Open the Paper
Once you have cut away the desired amount of paper, you can now open your paper to reveal your snowflake design. You can place a book on top of the snowflake for awhile to flatten it. After it is flattened, you can now decorate the paper snowflake with glitter, small beads or glue it to a homemade holiday card for a nice touch.Resources Powered by Google
