Introduction
- If salsa is the King of all Mexican dips, then guacamole is certainly the Queen. With its combination of fresh, ripe avocados, chopped tomatoes and spices, guacamole is a rich and creamy dip that is a perfect compliment to all types of Mexican cuisine. Whether you're making it as a dip for tortilla chips, a filling for a taco, or as a topping for a burrito, guacamole is a versatile dip that everyone can enjoy. So the next time your preparing for a Fiesta (or a Super Bowl party), take the time to make some fresh, homemade guacamole. You'll be glad you did.

Making Basic Guacamole
- Start by chopping your onion and tomato into small pieces. Mince the garlic clove. Set aside until later.

- Cut both of your avocados in half and remove the pits.
- Use your spoon to scoop out the insides of the avocados and put them in your mixing bowl.
- Take your fork and mash the avocados up until the texture is smooth and there are no large chunks left.
- Cut the lime into quarters and squeeze the juice from them into your bowl.
- Add the chopped onions, tomatoes and minced garlic. Stir with your spoon until all the ingredients are properly mixed together.
- Add a small amount of salt and pepper. Taste the guacamole. Add more if necessary.
- Serve and enjoy!

Additional Ingredients
- While the recipe above is a very basic guacamole recipe, this is by no means the only way to make it. Everybody has their own recipe and list of ingredients they use. Here are a few things that you can add to the above recipe (if you like) to give it extra flavor, taste and kick:
- Spices: Cilantro, Cumin, Cayenne Pepper
- Vegetables: Jalapenos, Shallots, Chives, Chili Peppers
- Sauces: Hot Sauce, Tabasco Sauce, Salsa
