Ingredients
1-2 pounds of fresh or frozen salmon fillet with the skin
- 1 tbsp of snipped parsley
- 1 tbsp of snipped sage
- 1/4 tsp of dried and crushed sage
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
- 1 cup of finely chopped cucumber
- 1/4 cup of plain low fat yogurt
- 2 tbsp of light mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp of snipped fresh dill
Equipment
Cedar grill plank
- Grill
- Mixing bowl
- Serving spoon
Step 1: Grilling the Salmon
- One hour before you start grilling you must soak the cedar plank in water. Otherwise, when you place it on the grill, it could catch fire.
- Take salmon and put it skin side down on the cedar plank.
- Then brush it with oil and sprinkle some on the parsley on it. Follow this with sage, and then some of the salt and pepper.
- When the grill is ready to go with medium heat, place the cedar plank and the salmon into the grill.
- Leave it on the grill for 18 to 22 minutes or until the fish flakes when forked.
Step 2: Making the Yogurt Sauce
- Take a mixing bowl and add cucumber, mayonnaise, yogurt and fresh dill.
- Stir the sauce until it's nice and creamy. You will serve this alongside the salmon.
- Take about 20 minutes to take the salmon off of the grill. Spoon on some of the yogurt sauce.
- Serve and enjoy!
