How To Make Fruit Punch
This video demonstrates how to make both a nonalcoholic and fruit punch from 5 quarts of assorted fruit punch. The video assumes that you do not have simple syrup on hand, and illustrates how to boil water and sugar to make sure that the sugar dissolves in the punch. The video recipe produces a still, or noncarbonated, punch.

Step 1: What You Need to Make Fruit Punch
- 1 1/2 cups simple syrup
- 1 quart brewed tea
- 1 quart fruit juice of your choice
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1 quart lemon lime soda, or ginger ale
- Sliced fruit for garnish
Step 2: How to Make Fruit Punch
- Place a large block of ice in a punch bowl.
- Blend the simple syrup, tea, fruit juice, and lemon juice in a pitcher.
- Stir well.
- Pour the juice and tea mixture over the ice.
- Just before serving, add the soda and the sliced fresh fruit.
Step 3: Fruit Punch Variations
- Replace the tea with a second fruit juice. Reduce the simple syrup to 3/4 of a cup as the juice will have its own sugar.
- Add 1/2 gallon of sherbet after adding the soda.
- Use frozen strawberries instead of sliced fruit for a garnisg. They will help keep the punch cool as they thaw.
