How to Make Egg Salad

Ingredients and Equipment

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • Black pepper
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp scallion greens, finely minced

You'll also need to make sure you have the kitchen equipment to make egg salad:

  • Sharpened knife
  • Cutting board
  • Mixing bowl

Step 1: Mix

  1. Combine hard-boiled eggs, celery, scallion greens, mayonnaise, dijon mustard and a sprinkle of black pepper in a medium-sized bowl.
  2. Stir.
  3. Mash up slightly to get to a desired consistency. 

Tips

  • Use older eggs as they're easier to peel once they've been hard-boiled
  • Put your egg salad on toasted bread to avoid soggy, floppy sandwiches
