If you have ever watched the first episode of any season of Deadliest Catch, you've probably seen all of the famous crab boat captains swigging traditional duck fart shots to bring them luck out on the precarious seas. These shots have been around for years, and are staples at many bars across America.
How to Make a Duck Fart
This video tutorial will show you how to make a duck fart the right way. Watch as a professional bartender shows you proper layering technique.
Step 1: Gather Ingredients
You will need:
- Crown Royal whiskey
- Irish cream
- Kahlua
- Clear shot glasses
Step 2: Layering
- Fill 1/3 of a shot glass with Crown Royal.
- Pour in an equal amount of Kahlua.
- Drizzle Irish cream down the side of the shot glass, so that it forms a layer on top (this may take practice--pour slowly).
- Serve.
Step 3: Variations
- If you don't want to spend the cash on brand names, any Canadian whiskey or coffee liquor may be substituted for the Crown Royal or Kahlua, respectively.
- For a sweeter shot, use Amaretto instead of Kahlua.
- To make a moose fart, add one part vodka.
