How to Make an Open-Faced Shrimp Grilled Cheese Sandwich

What You'll Need

Ingredients

  • 2 slices ciabatta bread
  • 1 handful sauteed spinach, sliced
  • 3-4 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 5 sauteed shrimp, chopped
  • Salt
Equipment
  • Baking sheet covered with foil
  • Spoon
  • Spatula
  • Plate

Step 1: Spread the Spinach

Preheat over to 425° F (218° C) while you spread the spinach over both pieces of bread.

Step 2: Add Shrimp

Make sure before you start making the sandwich that you've cooked your shrimp thoroughly and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Sprinkle these pieces on top of the layer of spinach.

Step 3: Add Tomatoes and Cheese

Layer your tomatoes on top of the shrimp then sprinkle the cheese over both pieces.

Step 4: Bake and Serve

Place the tray in the oven for five minutes or until the edges turn golden brown and the cheese melts. Remove from the oven and use your spatula to move them to your plate and serve.
