Step 1: What You Will Need
- You will need the following items to make a simple angel costume:
Step 2: Make the Angel Wings
What You Will Need
- Light weight wire (enough to make two interconnected wings)
- Duct tape
- Scissors
- 1 pair of queen sized panty hose (white or pink)
- Ribbon (about 2 yards)
- Glue gun
- Decorations such as glitter-glue, sequins, rhinestones, etc.
Make the Angel Wings
- Cut enough wire to create the shape of a figure eight in the size you want the wings.
- Wrap duct tape around the excess wire so there are no sharp edges.
- Each side of the figure eight will be a wing, so begin to shape them however you want.
- Once you have shaped the wings appropriately, pull the queen-sized panty hose over the wire. Use one panty hose leg for each wing.
- Tuck any excess panty hose fabric under the wire at the center of the figure eight, using duct tape to wrap around the center.
- Decorate the wings with the glitter glue and other ornamentation. Let it dry.
- Once you have put on the rest of the costume, you will attach the wings by wrapping the ribbon around the center of the wings, then tying it around your waste and shoulders until you have a comfortable fit.
Step 3: Assemble the Costume
- Put on the white nightgown, robe or dress
- Tie the ribbon or sash around your waist
- Put on the white tights and ballet type slippers
- Attach the halo to your head
- Attach your angel wings
Step 4: Apply the Make-Up
What You Will Need
- White eye shadow
- Blue or gold eye shadow
- Eye liner
- Mascara
- Different color glitter glue make-up
- Light pink or silver lipstick
Apply Make-up
- Apply White eye Shadow between the eyebrow and upper lid
- Apply blue or gold eye shadow on the eyelid
- Add eyeliner lightly under both eyes
- Apply black mascara
- Use the black eyeliner to create a design around your eyes
- Fill in the design with the glitter glue face make-up
- Add the pink or silver lipstick
