Step 1: What You Need to Make an Alice in Wonderland Costume
- A light blue dress, knee-length, with puffy sleeves and a wide skirt

Step 2: Making the Costume
- Sew the ruffly fabric to the bottom and sides of your apron
- Put on the petticoat
- Put on the dress--if your petticoat does not show at the bottom, hem the dress up a few inches
- Wrap the apron loosely around the dress, and secure into place
- Put on the stockings or pantaloons
- Place the Mary Janes on your feet
- Wrap the ribbon under the bottom of your hair, and tie into a bow at the top
Step 3: Hair
Alice is known for her long, straight dirty-blond hair. If this does not describe your own locks, you may want to purchase a wig to make your costume look more authentic. Most wig stores are relatively expensive. However, around Halloween, there are usually a plethora of costume shops that pop up in shopping malls and other various locations.
