Introduction
With the publication of The Secret in November 2006, vision boards and the law of attraction became very much in vogue. Regardless of their current trendiness, however, vision boards have long been recognized in helping their makers to reach the goals they strive for. -
Step 1: Prepare
In order to make a vision board, you need to have a large piece of posterboard or empty bulletin board. You will also need:- As many old magazines as you can find. Make sure they are ones you won't mind cutting up.
- Scissors
- Glue
- Markers and/or crayons
- Tape
Step 2: Begin Looking for Representative Images
Once you have everything assembled, start looking for pictures and images that represent your hopes and dreams. For example, if you want to travel to Africa, you might want to cut out a picture of the African landscape or an animal you might see while on safari. If you are dreaming of the perfect car, make sure you cut out a picture of it to put on your dream board. Don't be afraid to cut out inspirational quotes as well.Step 3: Put the Dream Board Together
After you have a supply of images and/or quotes, start placing them on your board. There is no set way to set up your board. Make it appeal to your eye, since it is, after all, for you. Tape or glue the images down. You can also draw or write on your vision board if you have things you want to express that you didn't find images for. Once your board is complete, hang it somewhere that you will see it every day.Resources Powered by Google
