Tequila Slammer anyone?
This cocktail derived its name from how it is being consumed. Tequila Slammer is usually served in a shooter glass or rocks glass. It is made up of equally measured Tequila and a carbonated beverage. Champagne can also be used instead of carbonated drinks. Tequila Slammer is also known as "Slammer Royale" or "Golden Slammer".
Tips
Leave at least 1/5 part of the glass when pouring out tequila & carbonated drink or champagne.
Drink right away after slamming.
For the carbonated drink, you can use almost any drink that could produce a fizz. Lemon juice will actually do!
Introduction
Tequila Slammer consists of half Tequila and half carbonated drinks that can be 7 Up or ginger ale or lemonade or Mountain Dew. Champagne can also be used.
The usual procedure for this drink is by leaving a fifth of the glass empty. This allows the drink to fizz. It is also slammed with your hand on the top of the glass to let gas bubbles foam continuously.
In order to make this cocktail, we need to have the following: - 1 part tequila - 1 part 7 Up or ginger ale or lemonade or Mountain Dew or champagne
Step 1:
Pour tequila on the shooter glass until you have filled half of the glass.
Step 2:
Add your chosen carbonated drink or champagne. Fill the other half of the glass. This will produce fizz onto your drink.
Step 3:
With your hand or napkin, cover the top part of the glass and slam it in any hard surface. Slamming it will make bubbles appear. Drink right away while bubbles vigorously appears.
