How to Make a Raspberry Daiquiri

Step 1: What You'll Need for a Raspberry Daiquiri

For each raspberry daiquiri you'll need:

Raspberry Daiquiri Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries, washed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 2 ounces rum
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 cups of ice cubes or 1 cup of crushed ice
  • Lime wedge and additional raspberry for garnish

  • Blender
  • Sieve
  • Margarita glass

Step 2: Making Raspberry Daiquiris

  1. Combine first raspberries, lemon juice, and simple syrup ingredients in a blender.
  2. Puree until smooth.
  3. Strain raspberry mixture through a sieve into a bowl, and discard the seeds. Depending on the size of the seeds, a fine strainer may be needed.
  4. Rinse out the blender to be sure no seeds remain.
  5. Place the ice in the blender.
  6. Top with strained raspberry puree, rum, and lime juice.
  7. Process until smooth.
  8. Garnish with lime wedge and raspberry.

Step 3: Raspberry Daiquiri Tips

  1. Add a tablespoon of framboise or cassis with the rum.
  2. Substitute blackberries for the raspberries.
  3. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
  4. Rim the glass with a combination of regular sugar (granualted white) and powdered sugar. Powdered sugar helps to keep the sugar secured to the glass.
  5. Invest in a sturdy blender if you make frozen drinks often. In order to make the smoothest frozen drink, consider blending the ice until many of the chunks are gone before adding other ingredients.
  6. As an alternate to the frozen drink, a daiquiri can be served on the rocks.
